Subject:                 Fiscal Year 2008 Conservation Security Program Annual Payments

Purpose:                To provide information and instruction to Alaska for completing the FY 2008 CSP annual payments.

Expiration Date:    September 30, 2008

Attached is NB.300.8.2., which directs and requires action on Conservation Security Program CSP payments.

Please read it carefully, it provides details regarding payment extents as well as a very strict limitation on modifications.  As in previous years, we will be offering the landowner the choice to receive payment this Calendar Year CY (before 12/31/07), or next CY (before Feb. 1st).

Letters to participants should be processed immediately.  For those participants who wish to receive their payments in CY 2007, process the payment immediately upon receipt of certification.  Payments for those participants electing to receive their payments in CY 2008 should be processed immediately after January 1, 2008.  In no case will a CSP payment be processed after February 1, 2008.
