The Designated Conservationist is responsible for providing local program
leadership, assuring all national and state rules, policies, and procedures are
followed. This includes the following responsibilities, among others:
- Eligibility determinations are accurate and appropriate for applicants
and their land
- Technical prescriptions are adequate and accurate, and required for the
resource concern
- Ranking accurately reflects the proposed plan
- Payments are processed accurately, and in a timely manner
- Our customers are aware of and understand our programs and services
