Black Slough Family Soils
Loamy Euic Hydric Cryofibrists

Description:  Thick organic mat over silty fluviomarine deposits with sedges and a water layer.  Found on wet, organic plains near a tidal zone.  Strongly acid soils.

Vegetation: Sedges

Parent Material:  Thick fibric organic mat over silty fluviomarine deposits

Drainage:  Very poorly drained

Slope:  Nearly level linear slopes

Flooding: Frequent flooding hazard
