Kumla Series
Coarse-loamy, mixed, Typic Historthels

Description:  Thick organic mat over loamy gray soils with deep permafrost formed in eolian deposits with tussock and scrub vegetation. Strong gleying in mineral horizons.

Vegetation:  Tussock scrub vegetation

Parent Material:  Thick (20-40 cm) hemic or fibric organic mat over silt loam eolian deposits on eolian plains

Drainage:  Very poorly drained

Slope:  Gently sloping, linear or convex slopes
