Long Sands Family Soils
Coarse sitly, mixed, Typic Cryaquepts

Description:  Very dark grayish brown and dark gray soils formed in stratified colluvium and alluvium with willow and grass found on toeslopes of steep hills and escarpments.  Moderately acid.

Vegetation:  Willow scrubland with grass understory

Parent Material:  Coarse silty stratified colluvium and alluvium

Drainage:  Poorly drained

Slope:  Gently sloping footslopes and toeslopes of hills and escarpments

Flooding: Occasional flooding hazard
