Hydric soils
 

Mudie Family Soils
Coarse silty, mixed, Typic Cryaquents

Description:  Dark gray to bluish black soils formed in fluviomarine sediments with sedges found in salt marshes.  Slightly acid soils.

Vegetation:  Sedge with a bare understory

Parent Material:  Stratified coarse silty, and occasionally coarse loamy, fluviomarine deposits

Drainage:  Very poorly drained

Slope:  Nearly level linear slopes of salt marshes

Flooding: Frequent to very frequent flooding hazard
