Nunapik Family Soils
Coarse-loamy, mixed, Typic Haplocryepts

Description:  Loamy brown soils formed in eolian deposits with shrub birch.  Moderate iron relocation.

Vegetation:  Shrub birch scrubland with few scattered larger shrubs and trees

Parent Material:  Very deep silt loam eolian deposits on slight rises of eolian plains

Drainage:  Moderately well drained

Slope:  Nearly level linear or convex slopes
