Pellernaquq Family Soils
Loamy Terric Cryofibrists

Description:  Thick organic mat over loamy, very dark gray soils formed in eolian or alluvial deposits with sedges and moss.

Vegetation:  Sedge overstory with moss understory

Parent Material:  Thick (70-130 cm) fibric organic mat over silt loam alluvium or eolian deposits in drainageways or small, wet depressions on eolian plains

Drainage:  Very poorly drained

Slope:  Nearly level to gently sloping linear and concave slopes
