Rolph Family Soils
Coarse sitly, mixed, Aquic Humicrypets

Description:  Very dark brown and dark grayish brown soils formed in loess with scrub vegetation found on shoulders of steep escarpments.  Very strongly acid to strongly acid soils.

Vegetation:  Alder and willow scrubland with ericaceous shrub or fern understory

Parent Material:  Coarse silty loess

Drainage:  Somewhat poorly drained

Slope:  Strongly sloping to moderately steep linear and convex shoulders of steep escarpments

Flooding: No flooding hazard
