Ekvik Family Soils
Loamy-skeletal, mixed, Typic Cryorthents

Description:  Loamy, gravelly brown and light olive brown soils formed in colluvium with paper birch forest and alder

Vegetation:  Paper birch woodland

Parent Material: Gravelly colluvium on escarpments

Drainage:  Well drained to moderately well drained

Slope:  Very steep, 60 to 90 percent slopes
